Our Story

"Town Pub of Bloomfield"

       "Town Pub of Bloomfield"
Over a century of dedication "This Is How It All Started" In 1893, Charles & Thomas Hallinan opened the "Mansion House" at 378 Broad Street. Downstairs, the Hallinan brothers operated a tavern and restaurant. Weary travelers in horse-drawn carriages would always stop in for "Good Food & Grog" and friendly conversation. Upstairs, the family took in boarders who worked in many of the local mills, like the Oakes woolen mill which made uniforms for the nearby police and fire departments.
